ABOUT MY PIECES

What technique do you use to make your jewelry?

My pieces are created with two different techniques:  Electroforming and Silversmithing.

Electroforming is a complex process in which chemistry and electricity work together to deposit copper layers onto a piece of jewelry or other material. The creation of my pieces, from beginning to end, is a long and sometimes unpredictable process which can take between 3-5 days.

Do you take custom orders?

Absolutely! I am always delighted to receive Custom orders!
Please contact me to discuss your request or to share any images of what you would like me to create for you.

The piece of jewelry I received looks different from the picture!

You will receive a ring similar to the one in this listing, but it will differ slightly since all my raw stones are different in shape, size and color. All my raw stones are natural and non-treated - you might see flaws or inclusions in them - this is perfectly normal - Look at them as birthmarks! This is why I call my pieces "Perfectly imperfect" ! 😊

Electroforming is an unpredictable technique, and I never know how my pieces will come out. Some come out with current lines, bumps, grooves, pits or uneven plating, but be assured that I always make sure to send a piece when I am 100% satisfied with the final look.

My ring doesn't fit me! Can I have it resized?

The answer is NO. Electroformed rings cannot be resized, so when you are about to make your purchase, you must be 100% certain of your ring size.

If you ring doesn't fit you once you've received it, you will need to have a new ring made to your correct size - at 50% off the original price. You must contact me within three (3) days of delivery and return the ring in its original package within ten (10) days.

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs.

Do you offer gift wrap?

Yes! All my pieces will arrive gift wrapped in a lovely handmade box and ready to give as a gift!

Can I include a note with my order?

Absolutely! Just add your note in the comments section at checkout. It will be handwritten, so please keep it short & sweet!

PROCESSING / SHIPPING

When will I receive the piece I ordered?

Processing time is calculated from the time you place your order.
Currently: 5-6 weeks

Shipping time is calculated after the Processing Time - when your piece is finished and ready to be shipped.

Canada: 5 - 10 days
United States: 5 - 10 days
United Kingdom: 10 - 21 days
Europe: 10 - 21 days
Australia, New Zealand and Oceania: 10 - 28 days

I will do my very best to respect these shipping estimates, but due to unforeseen events, I cannot guarantee them.

If you need your piece(s) quickly, please leave me a Note and upgrade your shipping method to Expedited Shipping when checking out.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes I do!  However, due to the current pandemic, I cannot guarantee or control the length of time it will take for your package to be delivered. I can quote the date your order will ship from my studio, but will not be able to quote or guarantee a delivery date.

Can you rush my order?

If you need an item sooner than listed, please feel free to contact me before purchasing. You will most likely need to upgrade the shipping to Expedited.

How can I track my order?

You will receive a tracking number once your order has shipped. You can use this tracking number to track the package right to your doorstep! Please allow 24-48 business hours before seeing updated tracking information.

What happens if my package gets lost or arrives damaged?

Canada:  Free shipping with Canada Post does not include insurance. I am Not responsible for lost or damaged packages. You will need to file a claim online with Canada Post if there is an issue with your package. Please upgrade to Expedited Shipping (FedEx) if you'd like to include insurance.

USA and INT'L: We can help you file a claim for insurance 45 days from shipment as long as the package wasn't marked as delivered. We are not responsible for customs delays for international orders. International packages are not considered lost until at least 45 days from shipment.

I entered an incorrect address - can you update it?

Prior to shipment, we will be able to update shipping addresses. Unfortunately, we are unable to redirect packages once they have been shipped. Please make sure to supply a correct shipping address at checkout. If we receive the package back, we will contact you at the email address provided in order to arrange reshipment.

RETURNS, EXCHANGES, CANCELLATIONS

My piece is not what I expected - can I return it?

Since each of my items are custom made, I DO NOT accept returns for refunds. You may be offered an exchange* for another piece of equal value, subject to a restocking fee (calculated according to the complexity and size of the piece).

I must be notified within ten (10) days of delivery of your wish to have your piece exchanged. You will have 30 days to return the piece in its original box.

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs.

* MOTHER'S RINGS, SOLID 18K GOLD PIECES and CUSTOM ORDERS cannot be returned or exchanged, under any circumstances.

* Earrings cannot be exchanged.

The stone fell off my ring – can it be repaired?

Yes of course! You will be able to return your piece for repair* - I will refund the return shipping costs up to $15US.

* Your piece will need to be shipped back to me with tracking and insurance. We are not responsible for lost, uninsured or untracked return packages. If the item is not returned in its original condition, or is altered in any way, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

* For sanitary reasons, earrings cannot be exchanged.

Can I change / cancel my order once it's placed?

There is a 24-hour cancellation window once your order has been placed. Unfortunately, after that timeframe, we are not able to change or cancel your order.

MATERIALS AND CARE

How should I care for my jewelry?

To maintain the finish on your jewelry pieces and protect the raw stones, you should take off your piece when bathing, showering, when handling cleaning household products, before putting on hand cream, while sleeping or when exercising. 

Store in a cool, dry place - Your Moondrop Creations jewelry box works great for storage! Gently clean with the microfiber cloth that is provided with your purchase.

Is the jewelry nickel-free?

Totally! I use nickel-free metals like Sterling silver, Argentium and 14k Gold filled wire for the bands.

Are your gemstones genuine?

Yes they are! I purchase some of my natural gemstones from carefully selected suppliers around the world or I select my own stones by hand at the annual Tucson Gems & Minerals show.

Can you replate my piece of jewelry?

If your piece needs replating within 6 months of receiving it, I will re-plate it for free. Past 6 months, the replating fee is $40US.

OTHER QUESTIONS

Can I visit your studio or pick up my order?

Unfortunately, as much as I'd love to meet you, my studio is not set up as a showroom and I cannot accommodate visitors. 

Can I select my stones before purchase?

I'd be happy to send you pictures of my gemstones for you to choose, but only after you've placed your order.

Do you do wholesale orders?

Unfortunately, I am currently unable to do wholesale orders due to a large volume of retail orders.
